Kayak Tour at the Grande Colonial

Enjoy accommodations at the Grande Colonial in downtown La Jolla, along with a La Jolla Sea Caves Kayak Tour!

Kayak to the 7 Sea Caves and cliffs to witness these breathtaking sandstone formations along the La Jolla’s coastline. Paddle to the Arch Cave, Sunny Jim’s and the Clam’s Cave. Also paddle out to the Underwater Kelp Forest and Ecological Reserve. While kayaking in San Diego, you will see the California Garibaldi, leopard sharks, seals, seal lions, and even dolphins! Finish off the kayak tour by catching a wave back to shore! No previous kayak experience necessary; children ages 5 1/2 and up welcome.

Kayak the 7 Caves of La Jolla and Ecological Reserve. Kayakers will likely see California Sea Lions, leopard sharks, Garibaldi (California state fish), and the occasional dolphins. We offer single & double kayaks for our La Jolla kayaking tour.

Fun for all ages (6 and up) and no previous experience necessary.

Included in Tour: Tour Guide, kayak, paddle, life vest, and complimentary lockers and changing rooms. Wetsuits are available for rent for $5.00 on cooler days.
Duration: 2 Hours
Tour Times: 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm
Minimum Age: 6 (with an adult) or 14+ in single kayaks
*All participants must be able to swim*

Take this Coastal Leisure Ride through beautiful La Jolla. Stop at famous Windnsea Beach. Check out the outdoor exhibits at the Museum of Contemporary Art and stop to watch the seals at the famous Children’s Pool. Finish off this bike tour by going into Sunny Jim’s Cave via the historical Cave Store, and then biking on the historical trail, Coast Walk. This ride is pretty easy, mostly flat, and stops routinely for sightseeing.
